Judges Reading Plan: Click Here
- What lessons from Deborah’s story speak to the responsibilities of both men and women in the church?
- How does this story show the importance of simple obedience to God?
- What does it say about God that he is able to use the actions of people for his purposes, regardless of their motivation?
- What does this say about us?
- What experiences have shown you God’s faithfulness, trustworthiness, and sovereignty?
- What passages of Scripture have reminded you of these truths?
Jeremiah 29:11 (CSB) // “For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (CSB) // “Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.”
Judges 5:1-5 // On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song:
2 “When the princes in Israel take the lead,
when the people willingly offer themselves—
praise the Lord!
3 “Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers!
I, even I, will sing to the Lord;
I will praise the Lord, the God of Israel, in song.
4 “When you, Lord, went out from Seir,
when you marched from the land of Edom,
the earth shook, the heavens poured,
the clouds poured down water.
5 The mountains quaked before the Lord, the One of Sinai,
before the Lord, the God of Israel.
- What does it look like for you to praise God?
- What other forms of worship have you used to praise God?
- What could trust in God’s sovereignty look like for you in the next week?

Fill Joey’s Food Locker
Joey’s Food Locker (Natomas High School) is in need of non-perishable food items to fill their shelves. They have seen explosive need in our community with everyone going on right now. Let’s help stock them back up as they are serving 3-4 times the people they were just 6 months ago. The biggest needs are peanut butter, soup and breakfast cereal.
There are 2 ways to get the food collected. Either drop off at the Snider’s house (text us for the address) or text us for a non-contact porch pick up. We will be happy to come and get the items from you!
